How It Works
Pay one fee + Pass all components = Valid test results for multiple departments
The South Central Criminal Justice Administration of Connecticut (SCCJA) conducts entry level testing for its member departments.
Phase 1: CHIP Test Requirement
Phase 2: Written Examination
Phase 3: Oral Board Examination by Sworn Officers
You must pass each component to advance to the next phase. Only those candidates who have successfully passed the Oral Board Examination (Phase 3) will be eligible to apply to the departments hiring for this process as indicated-provided you meet that department’s minimum score requirements, as well as any other department-specific prerequisites.
Value
A single application fee of $85 covers your entry into the SCCJA testing process. The test registration fee of $85 is not refundable under any circumstances. Individuals who pass the SCCJA preliminary testing process will be eligible to apply to participating departments without paying additional PoliceApp.com processing fees.
Disclaimer
Neither SCCJA nor PoliceApp can control how many vacancies will be filled from this testing process. A minimum number of open positions cannot be guaranteed. Each department is responsible for its own hiring standards, prerequisites, and hiring timeline. The test registration fee of $85 is not refundable under any circumstances.
