ABOUT US

Guilford, CT, is a shoreline community located 13 miles east of New Haven and has a total population of 22,000 residents.

The Guilford Police Department currently has an authorized strength of 40 sworn officers, 4 civilian dispatchers, 3 civilian support staff, and 1 municipal animal control officer.  The department is accredited through both the State of Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POSTC) and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

The 18,500 square foot police facility was completed in 1996 and is conveniently located directly off I-95 at Exit 58. It is equipped with an athletic workout center and an outdoor basketball court.
