THE NEWARK POLICE DEPARTMENT
IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF
POLICE OFFICER
The City of Newark, Delaware, a professionally managed, growing university community, is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Police Officer from March 29 through May 1, 2015.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess an Associate’s degree or its equivalent (minimum 60 credits), have a valid driver’s license with no recent suspension, have no felony convictions, meet pre-employment assessment requirements and be a U.S. citizen.
This is a rewarding career opportunity which offers an excellent salary and fringe benefit program. Starting average salary for this position is $48,500 with possibility for rapid advancement. Applicants will undergo an extensive screening process which includes a written test, oral interview, physical agility test, background investigation, polygraph test, physical examination and psychological evaluation.
