This internal vacancy announcement is for the position of Communications Training Officer.
The member selected for this position will be responsible for educating and providing on the job training to Communications Officers.
Minimum Qualifications
To apply for this position, applicants must possess the following:
Currently employed as a Communications Officer with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office,
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Public Safety Communication Officer,
No formal discipline within the last year,
Satisfactory or above performance evaluation over the last year.
Must successfully complete the Communications Training Officer course within ninety
(90) days of appointment to the position.
Application Process:
Applicants will need to submit a memorandum of interest and a resume detailing experience, training, and any other qualifications for the position, to Human Resources. The applicant will also need to apply for the Communications Training Officer position on the Public Safety App and upload all required documents.
Selection Process:
Candidate(s) that are eligible shall be selected through a competitive interview process.
Qualified members are encouraged to apply. There is a $2,400 yearly stipend for this position.
