About:
The Montville Police Department is proud to serve the Town of Montville with a full complement of 29 professional, highly trained and dedicated police officers. Our local force is committed to providing prompt and courteous law enforcement services and working diligently to maintain a positive and effective presence within our community.
Message from the Chief of Police:
The officers of the Montville Police Department are rooted in the fabric of the Montville community. They are moms and dads, husbands and wives, partners and friends. They are Marines, Airmen, Soldiers and Sailors. They are coaches and mentors, advocates and teachers. They truly care about this nation, this community and the people who call Montville home. Our profession is changing rapidly. We must change as well. Every aspect of our job is scrutinized… And I have no issue with that! The men and women of the Montville Police Department do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason. They are here because they choose to serve and want to make the Town of Montville a safe community for all. We will be transparent and accountable. We shall treat all people with dignity and respect. We shall be fair and impartial. We will not be punitive. Public trust allows us the ability to effectively perform our jobs. Our level of trust within this community ultimately determines our overall success or failure. I thank you for the support that you provide to your Police Department, and I look forward to serving you.
