This professional development event, hosted by MTAC Air, convenes law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services, emergency management, and government personnel who operate unmanned aircraft systems. The five-hour session combines practical flight training, professional networking, and operational knowledge exchange in a controlled environment.
Participants will utilize MTAC's expansive 6,000-square-foot training facility to refine piloting abilities in realistic scenarios. The facility includes rooms, hallways, doorways, obstacles, and various structural environments designed to challenge aircraft control and navigation skills. The agenda features unstructured flight time, organized flight rotations, observation opportunities for different pilot skill levels and aircraft platforms, and discussions focused on public-safety UAS operations, program development, training requirements, and advances in unmanned technology.
In addition to active pilots, this training welcomes verified representatives from agencies that are establishing or assessing their own UAS programs.
