Course Overview

This optional five-day intensive course is designed for patrol officers looking to develop advanced proficiency in tactical operations, SWAT methodologies, and joint task force procedures. Participants will engage in comprehensive firearms training, tactical response scenarios, and mission planning exercises across five full days of instruction.

Required Equipment and Preparation

Students must bring eye and ear protection, a gas mask (if one has been assigned), a tourniquet, gloves, knee pads, and long-sleeved clothing that can be rolled up as needed. Participants should also bring an adequate supply of water, snacks, and a notebook if desired. Officers may attend individually or bring a partner or their team.

Daily Training Breakdown

Day 1: Pistol & Rifle Proficiencies
Participants will fire 550 rounds with an AR platform and 550 pistol rounds while practicing tape drills, quadrant shooting, offhand shooting techniques, team movements, split objective scenarios, and marksman drills.

Day 2: Ambush Response and Containment
Students will discharge 550 AR rounds and 300 pistol rounds while executing contact drills, conducting a half-mile ruck march in full kit, performing bounding drills over 140 yards, practicing team movements, managing operator down scenarios, completing timed drills, and learning extraction planning and execution.

Day 3: Physical Skills Development
The third day includes 600 AR rounds, 400 pistol rounds, and 2 gallons of water consumption during officer down training, vehicle maneuvering exercises, long-range target work, pistol response drills, and terrain-based tactical application.

Day 4: Pre-Planning and Advanced Tactics
Training encompasses 600 AR rounds, 400 pistol rounds, response and mitigation strategies, command and control principles, a one-mile ruck march, egress procedures, operator down scenarios, smoke navigation, and vehicle extraction under fire conditions.

Day 5: Mission Strength and Complex Operations
The final day features 550 AR rounds, 400 pistol rounds, mission planning instruction, loadout preparation, a timed two-mile ruck march, and final mission scenarios including the Reclaim & Restore operation and the Mumbai Attacks scenario.

Training Schedule and Details

The course runs daily from 7:00 AM to 1:45 PM. A maximum of 16 students are accepted per day. The total duration is 32 hours of instruction across five consecutive days, November 30 through December 4, 2026.
