Supervising and Managing the FTO Unit

Instructor: Darryl Rivers

Duration: 3 days (20 professional development hours)

Cost: $525.00

Overview:

This 2.5-day intensive program comprising 20 hours of instruction is tailored for line supervisors and administrative personnel responsible for overseeing field training operations. The course addresses a critical gap in many training programs: while field training officers receive comprehensive preparation, their supervisors often lack the necessary guidance to manage the complexities of administering and leading a field training unit. Course Focus:

Through this program, attendees will explore how to become a catalyst for positive change and growth within their organization by leveraging the field training program as a tool for departmental improvement. By examining organizational culture and departmental climate, participants will learn to guide their agencies toward the shared objective of rebuilding community trust in law enforcement through the establishment of highly trained and qualified officers, supervisors, and leaders.
