Course Overview

This comprehensive five-day program is designed for both newly promoted and veteran first-line supervisors in public safety who are dedicated to leading effectively from the front lines. Well-trained first-line leaders are essential to organizational success, as they hold the most influential positions within their agencies. This course equips participants with the critical leadership abilities, self-assurance, technical competence, and management expertise needed to effectively guide subordinates while benefiting the organization and community.

Drawing on established research regarding effective field leadership and management practices in law enforcement, this training provides practical tools and strategies for first-line supervisors. Participants will gain knowledge of foundational leadership principles, team member management approaches, and coaching methods designed to boost officer performance and address behavioral concerns, with particular focus on the practices that elevate team morale and strengthen organizational performance.
