TOMS RIVER POLICE DEPARTMENT

CLASS I SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER (PART TIME/ SEASONAL BEACH DISTRICT)


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position and to understand and follow instructions from superiors.
  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • US Citizen
  • Earned high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Pass a psychological examination.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Traffic control.
  • Enforcement of local ordinances and parking enforcement.
  • Perform any and all other assignments at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor on an as needed basis.
