The Town of Farmington is now accepting applications for police officer. Salary range is $69,136-$91,283 with an attractive benefit package. The Farmington Police Department is a modern, progressive, CALEA Accredited agency, seeking to hire the most qualified individuals to join our team. Applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old and of superior moral character;
- Be a citizen of the United States of America;
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Candidates must not have been convicted of any felony, class A or B misdemeanor, domestic violence crimes, or any act which would constitute perjury or false statement;
- A four year college degree in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or related field preferred.
Candidates must:
- Pass the C.H.I.P. test at the 40th percentile standard http://www.chip-inc.com/chip/CHIPForms8-2016.pdf;
- Pass the C.P.C.A. written test with a score of 70 or greater;
- Participate in pre-employment interviews;
- Pass a thorough background investigation that will include: a polygraph examination; a psychological interview; and a comprehensive medical examination including a drug screening.
- Refrain from smoking at any time as a condition of employment.
