JOB VACANCY

CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER

CITY OF TORRINGTON

 

The City of Torrington is seeking CT Post Certified Police Officers.  Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, and the current POST physical assessment (Cooper Test).  In addition, candidates must successfully pass a background investigation, polygraph, psychological and medical examination including drug screening. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Age 21, high school or equivalency, acceptable background, good physical condition, a Connecticut Driver’s license, and other requirements apply (see application for further details). 

Salary/Benefits:

$66,166 to start with excellent benefits.  Paid college tuition and books, college degree incentive payment, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick time, opportunity for specialized assignments, 401 retirement plan, and equipment and uniforms paid for by the City.
