The Borough of Naugatuck is seeking qualified applicants for the position of
Certified Police Officer

The written examination will be scheduled in February/March 2017. The Borough of Naugatuck offers an excellent fringe benefits package including a defined contribution retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, health, dental, and vision insurance. Preference points for Naugatuck residents and residents of adjoining towns will be awarded to those who qualify for such points. The starting base salary for a Naugatuck Police Officer is $61,574.16 annually.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Be 21 years of age at time of appointment
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- Pass written exam, Chief of Police interview & Police Commission interview
- Candidates must successfully complete and pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological interview/test, and comprehensive medical examination including drug/alcohol screening.
- Ability to meet the requirements of the Naugatuck Police Department Policy & Procedure regarding Personal Appearance.
- Failure to meet any of the above requirements will disqualify a candidate for employment as a Police Officer with the Borough of Naugatuck.
