Catching Online Predators

Course Overview: This intensive two-day training program is designed for law enforcement agencies seeking to develop capabilities in identifying and apprehending online predators within their jurisdictions. Regardless of whether an agency serves a large metropolitan area or a smaller community, predators pose a threat either locally or through willingness to travel. The curriculum emphasizes practical chatting techniques and undercover online investigation methods.
Course Content: Participants will engage in hands-on training covering the following topics:
- Development and management of undercover accounts
- Legal considerations and entrapment avoidance strategies
- Evidence collection and documentation
- Investigative interview techniques
- Courtroom testimony preparation
Students will begin active online chatting on the first day with direct instructor guidance and support throughout the training.
Location and Schedule: This course will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio (Hamilton County, ZIP 45237) on March 2-3, 2027, for a total of 16 instructional hours.
