Course Overview
This essential program serves peace officers and public safety professionals who are preparing for or already working in supervisory positions. As the demands placed on public safety organizations continue to increase, strong and effective leadership has become critical to institutional success and stability.
The course emphasizes introspection and personal responsibility as its foundation, encouraging participants to develop themselves as leaders first before directing others. By examining and reconnecting with their professional purpose and core values, attendees will discover how these elements shape organizational culture, influence hiring and retention efforts, and impact team dynamics.
Throughout the training, participants will expand their knowledge of leadership principles and strengthen both professional and personal relationships. The program also addresses the important connection between work life and home life, promoting holistic well-being and balance.
This training is particularly well-suited for supervisors at the front line level within public safety organizations—both those newly promoted and those aspiring to leadership roles—who wish to strengthen their supervisory abilities and manage the transition from individual officer to supervisor.
Prerequisites: Front Line Leadership (The Original) is a required foundation course for those planning to advance to Front Line Leadership II. It is strongly recommended for all current and prospective leaders who want to foster positive change within their organizations and communities while building cultures of accountability and wellness.
