Course Overview
This specialized training program focuses on cell phone and social media investigations relevant to detectives, criminal investigators, drug investigators, and homicide investigators. The course emphasizes the critical role of cellular digital evidence as a rapidly expanding form of evidence in criminal prosecutions. Participants will develop practical skills in leveraging cell phone data, social media platforms, cloud storage information, and carrier records throughout their investigative processes.

- Interpreting calling patterns, ownership information, missed calls, and location data

About the Instructor
Glenn Bard is a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper First Class and U.S. Army veteran who served in Operation Desert Storm. Since 1999, he has managed computer crime investigations for the state police and has investigated numerous criminal matters throughout the United States, ranging from child exploitation to criminal homicide. His forensic examination work has supported city, state, and federal agencies including the FBI, U.S. Postal Inspectors, and ICE, as well as international law enforcement bodies. Bard holds expert certifications across multiple states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the federal court system in digital forensics, cellular technology, and computer technology. His professional experience includes presentations to the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the World Security Congress, and hundreds of law enforcement agencies, law firms, and educational institutions. His investigative work has received national media coverage through outlets including Fox News, Dateline, the Associated Press, and the New York Times. Bard serves as Chief Technical Officer for PATCtech and has contributed to the development of forensic software programs and certifications used by agencies worldwide. He previously served as a faculty instructor at Westmoreland County Community College.
