Course Overview
This intensive three-day hands-on training program equips law enforcement professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to examine mobile device data, cellular records, and geolocation information using contemporary forensic mapping applications.
Course Content
Participants will begin by mastering the appropriate procedures for seizing, preserving, and examining mobile phones. The course covers leading mobile forensic platforms including Graykey, Cellebrite, and Axiom, with practical experience using Cellebrite readers and Magnet Axiom software.
The program introduces attendees to cellular network infrastructure and demonstrates how Cell Site Location Information obtained from wireless carriers can support criminal investigations by identifying device locations both historically and during real-time tracking operations.
Through hands-on exercises, students will utilize forensic mapping tools to process and analyze location data from Apple devices, Google services, and cellular site information.
Requirements
Participants must bring a laptop with internet access and have Google Earth Pro for Desktop pre-installed. Additionally, attendees should bring an external mouse for laptop use during the course.
