Course Overview
This intensive three-day hands-on training program equips law enforcement professionals with the skills needed to extract, preserve, and evaluate mobile device data, cellular records, and geolocation information using industry-standard forensic mapping applications.
Course Content
Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of mobile phone seizure and preservation procedures, as well as proper analysis techniques. The curriculum covers leading mobile forensic platforms including Graykey, Cellebrite, and Axiom, with practical laboratory experience using Cellebrite reader technology and Magnet Axiom software.
The training introduces cellular network infrastructure and demonstrates how Cell Site Location Information obtained from wireless carriers can be leveraged in investigative work to track device locations both historically and in real-time scenarios.
Through hands-on application of forensic mapping tools, students will develop proficiency analyzing location data from Apple devices, Google services, and cellular network records.
Requirements
Participants must bring a laptop with active internet connectivity and have Google Earth Pro for Desktop pre-installed. A mouse for laptop use is also required.
