2 Day Law Enforcement Shotgun Armorer Course

Course Overview:

This comprehensive two-day armoring program is designed for law enforcement professionals and focuses on the maintenance, repair, and inspection of duty and defensive shotgun platforms. Participants will gain extensive hands-on experience working with pump-action and semi-automatic shotgun systems from three major manufacturers.

Shotgun Models Covered:

  • Remington 870, 1100, and 1187
  • Mossberg 500 and 590
  • Benelli M1-90, M2, M3, M4, and 1014

Course Content:

The curriculum encompasses foundational armorer skills including field stripping, complete disassembly and reassembly procedures, headspace and wear inspections, action cycles of function analysis, and trigger group assembly. Students will also study barrel maintenance and repair, forend and action bar assemblies, bolt assemblies including extractors and firing pins, flex tab trio assemblies, ejector service, magazine tube repair and replacement, shell latch maintenance, and hookspace and stem adjustments.

Hands-On Training:

All necessary tools, technical manuals, and instructional materials are provided by the course. Students are required to bring their own shotgun systems to become proficient with their specific configurations and any modifications. This allows thorough cleaning, inspection, and any necessary repairs or part replacements. This intensive program delivers substantial practical knowledge through direct, supervised experience.
