AR15/M16/M4/AR308 Armorer 2 Day Course

Course Cost: $550.00

Course Duration: 16 hours over 2 days (8am-5pm daily with one hour lunch break)

Instructor: FBI and NRA Certified Instructors, including primary instructor Greg Sullivan ("Sully"), who has been featured in SWAT Magazine, Guns & Ammo Magazine, and other firearms publications

Overview: This comprehensive armorer certification program is designed for law enforcement agencies that are deploying carbine rifles to patrol officers, supervisors, and tactical units. The course provides Industry Standard 5 year Armorer's Certification and equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to properly service and maintain AR15, M16, M4, and AR308 weapon systems and their variants.

  • Complete disassembly and assembly procedures
  • Nomenclature and component identification
  • Inspections, stress analysis, interval issues, and parts replacement schedules

  • Barrel replacement techniques
  • Headspace, firing pin protrusion, and gauging procedures
  • Piston and direct gas impingement systems
  • Ballistic troubleshooting
  • Repair and restoration procedures
  • AR308 variants
  • Parts interchangeability
  • Semi-automatic, full-automatic, and burst trigger systems and conversions

Course Format: This is an intensive, hands-on training program. All necessary tools, manuals, and materials are provided by the instructor. Students are required to bring their own weapon systems to become familiar with their specific configuration and modifications. This allows for thorough cleaning, inspection, and any necessary part replacements or repairs during the course.

Instruction Method: The program follows manufacturer guidelines and is taught by instructors certified by the FBI and NRA. The instruction employs multiple learning modalities, including live demonstrations, hands-on practice repetitions, detailed explanations of procedures, and visual aids such as animations and photographs illustrating proper techniques and common errors.

Available Dates and Locations: Multiple 2-day sessions are scheduled throughout 2026 and 2027 at various law enforcement agencies across the United States.
