Course Overview

This intensive 2-day program aims to elevate and modernize firearms instruction standards within law enforcement agencies. The curriculum emphasizes practical, performance-based methodologies that equip instructors with the tools to evaluate shooter capabilities, diagnose technical deficiencies, and implement targeted improvements in accuracy, speed, and overall shooting proficiency.

  • Foundational shooting principles and their advancement
  • Sight confirmation techniques at various levels
  • Movement and tactical positioning
  • Target transition drills and methods
  • Performance evaluation frameworks and analysis
  • Shooting trend documentation and assessment
  • Speed and accuracy measurement systems (Hit Factor, Time Plus, and additional metrics)

Eligibility

This course is exclusively designed for current law enforcement firearms instructors or officers actively pursuing firearms instructor certification.

Certification & Approval

Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification for 16 hours of professional training. The course is POST-approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Alabama and Tennessee.

What to Bring

Required Equipment:

  • Handgun
  • 3 handgun magazines (minimum)
  • Quality OWB or IWB holster (SERPA-style holsters not permitted)
  • Magazine carrier(s)
  • Quality, sturdy belt
  • Hearing and eye protection
  • 1,000 rounds of ammunition (minimum)
  • Permanent marker

Recommended Items:

  • Notebook and writing pen
  • Extra batteries for optical devices and hearing protection devices

Important Notes

Effective July 24, 2025, the Sig P320 platform and all its variants are prohibited from all Eagle Tactics training courses due to liability considerations. Participants are responsible for covering any range fees associated with their chosen training location.

Refund & Transfer Policy

All payments are non-refundable. If you cannot attend your registered course, contact the organization. Your payment may be applied toward another Eagle Tactics course of equal value or credited toward a higher-priced course, valid for one calendar year from the date of original enrollment. In the event Eagle Tactics must cancel a course, all registered participants will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer their tuition to an alternative Eagle Tactics offering.
