Deviant Sexual Behavior and Related Criminal Activity

This comprehensive training program equips law enforcement professionals with the knowledge and investigative techniques necessary to effectively address sexually motivated violent crimes. Participants will develop a thorough understanding of criminal psychology and gain practical skills in managing and prosecuting these sensitive cases while learning about the critical evidence required for successful outcomes.

The course provides both foundational and advanced investigative methodologies, enabling participants to become proficient sex crime investigators. Through detailed examination of case studies, attendees will study the psychology and behavioral patterns of lust murderers, pedophiles, child molesters, and rapists. The program also addresses the psychological dimensions of sex offenders and their victims, emphasizing the crucial role that physical evidence and medical examiner findings play in investigations and prosecutions.

Recognizing the sensitive nature of these investigations, the training covers victimology principles in sexual assault cases and evidence-based approaches for supporting victims through their psychological recovery. Participants will learn contemporary, proven methodologies for conducting interviews with both adult and child victims who have experienced such trauma.

Intended Audience

This training is designed for newly assigned and experienced detectives, investigations supervisors, crime scene technicians, medical examiner and coroner investigators, prosecutors, and military investigative personnel. The course is restricted to sworn law enforcement officers and personnel directly assigned to law enforcement agencies.
