SPECIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER,
CLASS II RECRUIT (SLEO II)
The Manasquan Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II Recruit. The recruit must attend the January of 2023 academy class in Freehold, New Jersey. The academy class runs from January of 2023 until the end of May of 2023. Academy runs from 6am until 4pm Monday
through Friday. Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications and submit their application by September 30,
2022.

Department overview:
- Staffed by 17 sworn officers year round and 20 SLEO II officers and 10 SLEO I officers during the summer
- Provides law enforcement services for the Borough of Manasquan
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- United States citizen
- New Jersey resident
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Read and write in the English language fluently
HIRING PROCESS
All qualified applicants must complete the following prior to appointment:

- Background Investigation
- Medical/Psychological Exams
- Drug Testing
