TOMS RIVER POLICE DEPARTMENT

CLASS I SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER (PART TIME/ SEASONAL BEACH DISTRICT)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position and to understand and follow instructions from superiors.
Minimum age of 18 years old.
US Citizen
Earned high school diploma or its equivalent.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Pass a background investigation.
Pass a psychological examination.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Traffic control.
Enforcement of local ordinances and parking enforcement.
Perform any and all other assignments at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor on an as needed basis.
