WATERTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR
ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICERS
The Town of Watertown is seeking qualified applicants for the position of police officer.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age on the date of appointment
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalency
- Hold a valid Connecticut driver’s license
- Must be a non-smoker
Additional Requirements:
- All candidates will be required to pass a written test administered by the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association (CPCA)
- All candidates must have a valid CHIP card in order to submit application
Testing Includes:
- Written Test
- Oral interview(s)
- Polygraph examination
- Psychological examination
- Physical examination
- Thorough background investigation
Upon completion of P.O.S.T. training and assignment to a patrol shift, candidates will work a 5-on-3-off, 5-on-2-off work schedule.
The salary range is $60,199.02 - $96,537.71
Upon graduation of the police academy and completion of the field training program, salary increases to $78,166.76.
