BECOME A WTPD POLICE OFFICER
ACT 120 Certification is NOT required.
Washington Township Police Department located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania will be establishing a Police Officer Eligibility list to fill open positions for patrol officers. Our department proudly serves and protects 40 square miles of a growing, diverse community with a population of over 14, 000 residents and many businesses. Washington Township borders Adams County, Pennsylvania and Washington & Frederick County, Maryland.
POLICE OFFICER TESTING:
Physical agility and written test has been scheduled for Saturday May 8, 2021 at Washington Township Police Department, 13013 Welty Rd., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
The successful candidate must:
- be at least 21 years of age
- possess a valid driver’s license
- possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a GED
- pass physical agility test, pass written test & pass oral board interview
- pass physical exam, psychological exam, drug screen, vision exam
- pass thorough background exam & credit check
- if not currently Act 120 Certified must be able to attend and successfully complete the required educational requirements to become Act 120 certified
- must have successfully completed Act 120 Certification OR be able to successfully complete police academy training starting in September 2021
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Washington Township Police Department offers a starting salary in 2021 of $53,786.58 along with an excellent benefit package and retirement plan.
