ACT 120 Certification is NOT required.

Washington Township Police Department located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania will be establishing a Police Officer Eligibility list to fill open positions for patrol officers. 

Physical agility and written test have been scheduled for Saturday September 25, 2021, at the Washington Township Police Department.

The successful candidate must:

  • be at least 21 years of age prior to completing the academy
  • possess a valid driver’s license
  • possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a GED
  • pass physical agility test, pass written test & pass oral board interview
  • pass physical exam & drug screen, psychological exam, vision exam, visit https://mpoetc.psp.pa.gov/ for complete details on all exams
  • pass thorough background exam & credit check
  • if NOT currently Act 120 Certified, must be able to attend and successfully complete the required educational requirements to become Act 120 certified – Police Academy training starts in March 2022

Washington Township Police Department offers a starting salary in 2021 of $53,786.58 along with an excellent benefit package and retirement plan.
