Full-time Patrol Deputy Posting
The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking dynamic, qualified applicants to fill the position of Full Time Patrol Deputy. The Sheriff’s ideal candidates will possess a strong community policing mindset to complement their law enforcement experience.
Applicants must be a high school graduate and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Applicants must successfully have passed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA) ALERT and physical agility test. Candidates will be required to successfully pass an in-depth background check, oral interview, psychological, medical and polygraph examinations.
The County offers an excellent benefit package that includes Maine Public Employees Retirement (MSRS) with 25 years of service. Pay will be commensurate with qualifications. The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office maintains a residency requirement which requires an employee to live within five drivable miles of the county line. A take-home Patrol vehicle is provided with this position.
