Minimum Requirements:

Citizen of the United States and resident of New Jersey;
Of good mental and physical health;
Able to read, write, and speak the English language;
Of good moral character and free from conviction of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude;
A high school diploma or its equivalent;
Possess a valid NJ Driver’s License;
At least 21 years of age, and must not have reached age 35 prior to date of hire
If certified, must be employed by a NJ Civil Service agency

Job Description/General Duties:

During an assigned tour of duty, on foot, or in an automobile, patrols a designated area to provide assistance and protection for persons, to safeguard property, to assure observance of the law, and to apprehend law-breakers; does related work as required.
