Pohatcong Township Police Department

The Pohatcong Township Police Department proudly serves the residents of the township with 13 full-time sworn officers. We currently have a Chief of Police, a Patrol Lieutenant, a Patrol Sergeant, a Detective Sergeant, a Detective, 8 Patrolman, including, an officer on-loan with the DEA, and 1 School Resource Officer. The department also has 1 Patrol certified K-9, Xeus. We receive a wide variety of calls-for-service as well as conduct a lot of proactive policing.

It is the mission of the Pohatcong Police Department to provide professional, high quality and effective police service for the Township of Pohatcong. We, the members of the Pohatcong Township Police Department, believe that our work has a vital impact on the quality of life in our community.

 

About Us

Pohatcong Township is a rural community located in Warren County, New Jersey consisting of almost 14 square miles. The population is currently under 4,000 residents but sees a large commuter population during the week, as we have a major interstate passing through town. The township has two schools, major commercial centers, and upcoming developmental projects.
