Paulsboro Police Department
Is now Accepting Applications for the Position of Police Officer

Required Qualifications:
- Certified in Basic Course for Police Officers by the NJ Police Training Commission, OR
- Currently enrolled in a Police Training Commission certified NJ Police Academy, OR
- Certified as a NJ Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II AND meet the requirements set forth by the NJ Police Training Commission and be eligible for a waiver to Basic Course for Police Officers.
Additional Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 60 college credits, OR 2 years law enforcement experience with prior military experience (an exception to policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis);
- 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment;
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and citizen of the United States;
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license;
- Applicants must be of good moral and ethical character.
Process:
- Detailed application;
- Initial oral interview process;
- Command level interview process with Paulsboro Police Administration;
- Complete and pass an extensive background investigation;
- Complete and pass a psychological and medical examination to include a drug screening test.
Benefits:
- Starting salary $44,200 - $63,900
- Medical, Dental, and Vision care.
Incentives:
- 2022 Top Patrol Base Salary: $101,500.00 - $102,600.00
