Job Announcement

NORTH WILDWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT

The North Wildwood Police Department is currently seeking to hire dedicated individuals for the position of full-time Police Officer, for those who currently possess a New Jersey PTC Basic Course for Police Officer Certification.

Requirements:

1. Shall be NJ PTC (New Jersey Police Training Commission certified)
2. Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of New Jersey;
3. Be a high school graduate or equivalent;
4. Have a good moral character and not been convicted of criminal offense involving moral turpitude;
5. Be psychologically and physically fit to perform all the duties of a Police Officer;
6. Be able to read, write and speak the English language conversantly;
7. Possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.

The Hiring Process will consist of:

Application Review
Oral Interview
Background Investigation
Psychological Examination
Medical Examination
Drug screening
Verification of PTC certification

The Police Department responds to over 45,000 calls per year.

The Police Department is made up of 29 Full-Time Officers and up to 50 Seasonal Officers.
