Salary
POLICE RECRUIT (While in Academy): $70,844
AFTER ONE (1) YEAR OF SERVICE: $75,483
TOP STEP AFTER THREE (3) YEARS OF SERVICE: $85,592
Work Schedule / Paid Time Off
Madison Patrol Officers work a Five (5) days on (Nine (9) Hour Shifts) / Three (3) days off schedule
Five (5) Vacation Days after Six (6) Months of Service
Ten (10) Vacation Days after One (1) Year of Service
Three (3) Personal Days a Year
Comp Time Accrual
Double Time for Holidays

Two (2) Health Benefits and One (1) Dental Plan from which to choose
