The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for part-time Community Service / Animal Control Special Deputy. You must be a US Citizen and at least 21 years of age to apply for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age
Valid Driver's License
High School Diploma/GED
Must be US Citizen
Must be able to pass a background investigation
- Must be able to complete Indiana 40-hr pre-basic course
- Have the ability to operate county owned vehicles, radios, computer systems, and specialized equipment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with citizens and individuals from diverse backgrounds and respond calmly and safely to aggressive animals, emotional citizens, and unpredictable situations.
- Must be able to meet all physical and training standards necessary to perform special deputy requirements.
- Visible tattoos prohibited below the wrist, on the neck, and on the face at the discretion of the Sheriff
