Franklin Township Police Department (Gloucester County), NJ Police Jobs

The Franklin Township Police Department is seeking interested candidates that are not PTC certified to send through the Gloucester County Police Academy in August.  Candidates will be selected after the application process and after successfully completing a physical fitness test, oral interview, background investigation, medical examination, drug screening, and psychological test.  The selected candidate(s) will be hired as a Class II Special Officer and attend the Gloucester County Police Academy co-mingled class which begins in August and graduates in December.  This position will allow the candidate(s) to become PTC certified and eligible for a waiver by the Police Training Commission upon graduation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old and a US Citizen
  • Must be a resident of New Jersey
  • Must possess a valid NJ drivers license
  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Applicants must be able to pass a physical fitness test, background investigation, drug screening, medical examination, and psychological examination.
