Civilian Crime Analyst
The Evesham Township Police Department is recruiting for the position of a crime analyst. We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working individuals for our Police Department.
The Evesham Township Police Department is an internationally accredited agency whose members take pride in their proactive response to crime, disorder and quality of life issues. The Crime Analyst will perform the difficult statistical and analytical research involving the use of computer applications such as New World, Microsoft applications, InfoCop and other Federal, State and Local databases; random statistical samplings, correlation and regression analysis, and probability studies; gathering and analyzing crime data for crime pattern detection, suspect-crime correlations, target-suspect profiles, and crime forecasting; conducting analysis of traffic data and statistical performance data; preparing reports on data and trends for police personnel and commanders; making presentations to police personnel, members of the community, and outside agencies.
Preparing statistical and narrative summaries for reports and presentations to department management; converting numeric data into graphic mode; reviewing statistical documents for completeness and accuracy. The Crime Analyst works with and is responsible for managing the analysis for the agency in conjunction with our Intelligence Led Policing Philosophy, including DDACTS. The Crime Analyst will also perform tasks deemed necessary by the Command Staff and/or the Police Chief.
High school or have formal education or training showing attainment of the level represented by graduation from senior high school with a minimum of sixty (60) college credits from an accredited college. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
