Certified Public Safety Telecommunicator
The West Haven ERS (Emergency Reporting System) is accepting applications for the Certified Public Safety Dispatcher position. All interested candidates must be certified as a Connecticut Public Safety Dispatcher. A strong knowledge of CAD/RMS systems and the ability to multi-task between phone, radio, and computer systems is essential.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, have a strong interest in serving the public, and be willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, midnight, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications
- CERTIFIED training in Priority Dispatch/International Academy EMD
- Experience using ProQA Software
- Experience using NexGen CAD
- Collect/NCIC Certification
Additional Information
- Hourly Rate: Range $23.41 - $31.22 per hour
- Shift Differential $.95 per hour for evening shift
- Shift Differential $1.05 per hour for midnight shift
- Meal allowance of $10.00 when required to work more than 10 hours
- $500 Uniform allowance
