About Our Department
The Warren Police Department is currently accepting lateral transfers of POST certified police officers. The department is comprised of 26 sworn officers and nine civilian support staff. Department members received a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package, which includes:
- Base Salary $61,812 - $77,904 (A lateral transfer’s time in their previous position will be honored & reflect their starting salary)
- Paid holidays (19)
- Recruitment & Retention Stipend ($1000)
- Accreditation Stipend ($2000)
- Education Stipends ($450-$900)
- Longevity
- Health and dental insurance
- Paid sick, vacation, personal and compensatory.
- Clothing allowance and maintenance cost
- College tuition reimbursement up to a Master’s Program
