The Raritan Township Police Department is NOW ACCEPTING applications for the position of CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER. Starting salary for new hire patrol officers, $49,336.00, with a top pay for patrol officers at the end of the current contract, $136,107.00.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A citizen of the United States of America
- Of good mental and physical health sufficient to satisfy the board of trustees of the Police and Fireman’s Retirement System of New Jersey as to their eligibility for membership in the retirement system
- Of good moral character and free from conviction of any crime constituting an indictable offense or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude
- Possess at least 60 credits from an accredited college or university.
- Have a valid driver's license
- Currently NJPTC Certified: BCPO, Alternate Route Graduates or currently enrolled in a BCPO course, SLEO II or
- BCI Waiver Eligible Certifications (N.J.A.C. 13:1-8.4)
Able to otherwise meet all requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 to 40A:14-127-1.
