Only applicants who have successfully completed the Municipal Police Officers Training and Education Commission Act 120 program (Police Academy)/enrolled in the Police Academy and passed the Bucks County Consortium Testing process will be considered.

 

General Requirements

  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer.
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle operators license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or another state.
  • Meet the certification requirements of the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under Act 120 prior to the time of application.
  • Only applicants who have successfully completed the recruit training course or enrolled  at a school certified by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under Act 120 prior to the time of application, shall be considered for employment.

 

Successful candidates will be required to take part in an oral interview process and may undergo an in-depth background check, polygraph examination, and medical and psychological examinations.
