Public Safety Telecommunicator

The City of Meriden is accepting applications for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher. We currently have several open positions. All interested candidates should apply, preference will be given to those candidates with prior or current certification as a Telecommunicator and/or COLLECT certification. A strong working knowledge of CAD/RMS systems is desirable and the ability to multi-task between phone, radio and computer systems is essential.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, have a strong interest in serving the public, and willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends, midnights and holidays. - Certification training in Power Phone Law Enforcement, Fire Service and Emergency Medical Dispatch
- Salary Range $47,714.78 to $56,816.45
- Shift differential 7.5% for evening/midnight shift certification bonus
