FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

Now Hiring: Certified Full-Time Police Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Police Training Commission (PTC) Certified OR PTC Class II Certified with the ability to attend additional training required to obtain a waiver to full-time status
  • U.S. citizen and a resident of the State of New Jersey at the time of appointment
  • Meet PFRS eligibility requirements
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, speaking
  • Good moral character with no disqualifying criminal history or offenses of moral turpitude
  • Able to pass exams as required (oral, written, physical, psychological)
  • Meet essential general duties, responsibilities and requirements of a police officer
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or service in the United States Military for a period of at least 2 years preferred
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license
  • Meet all requirements under N.J.S. 40A:14-122 to N.J.S. 40A:14-127

Benefits:

  • Starting salary range: $50,963.86 - $81,606.75.  Salary is directly dependent upon prior experience.  2023 Top Patrol Base Salary: $108,191.67
