LATERAL POLICE OFFICER POSITION

The Falmouth Police Department is seeking highly motivated proactive police officers for lateral transfer.
Candidates will be subject to an extensive background investigation, medical evaluation, psychological screening, and oral interview.
All lateral transfer officers must have (or be able to obtain):
1) MA POST Certification
2) MA Driver’s License
3) MPTC Police Officer Training Certification or MPTC Waiver
4) MA Class A License to Carry Firearms
The Town of Falmouth is located on Cape Cod and has a population of over 32,000 people, which rises to over 100,000 during the summer months. The police department has 67 full-time sworn police officers. Specialty assignments include Detectives Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, Motorcycle Unit, ATV Unit, School Resource Officer, Sexual Assault Investigator, FTO Program, Bicycle Patrol, Honor Guard, Court Prosecutor, Crisis Intervention, Special Response Team, Crash Reconstruction Team, and Community Engagement Team.
The current salary is $63,174 – $79,070, based on years of experience, with an additional education incentive to qualified applicants along with a competitive benefits package (Health, Dental, and Vision Benefit Programs, Paid Sick Leave, Shift Differential Pay, Wellness program, Uniform Allowance, Paid Holidays, and Paid Vacation)
