The Bloomfield Police Department anticipates a recruitment process for an NJPTC Certified Police Officer to open on November 1, 2022! Enter your name and email address to be notified when applications are being accepted!
Minimum Requirements:
- 1. Must be a citizen of the United States
- 2. Must possess a valid New Jersey Police Training Commission (PTC) Certificate.
- 3. Meet the requirements of and be eligible for membership in Police and Firemen’s Retirement System (PFRS).
- 4. Free of conviction of a crime constituting an indictable offense or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude
- 5. Not less than 18 nor more than 35 years of age at the announced closing date for filing applications for the position. In determining maximum age eligibility of veterans, the time spent in active military service during periods specified in Department of Personnel law and rules will be deducted from the attained age.
- 6. Graduation from high school or vocational high school or possession of an approved high school equivalent certificate.
- 7. Appointees will be required to possess New Jersey driver's license.
