Police Officer Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age,
- Meet the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 and N.J.S.A. 40A:14-27,
- Must be have a Basic Police Officer Certification from the NJ Police Training Commission, or provide proof of taking the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police entrance level examination within the past twelve (12) months with a minimum score of 70.
Applicants must also:
o Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an institution accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools, or
o Possess an Associate’s Degree from an institution accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and have received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military, or
o Possess 65 credits from an institution accredited by the Middle States Association and have received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military.
