This comprehensive two-day training program is tailored for experienced Field Training Officers and FTO coordinators seeking to strengthen their instructional abilities, interpersonal communication, and record-keeping practices. In today's increasingly litigious environment, the caliber of FTO training directly impacts an agency's exposure to negligent retention claims. This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively mentor new officers while maintaining rigorous documentation standards.

Through a combination of lecture sessions, collaborative group discussions, and hands-on interactive exercises, attendees will expand their competencies as both educators and leaders within their organizations. The curriculum balances theoretical frameworks with practical applications drawn from real-world scenarios.
