Course Description

This comprehensive 40-hour training program equips crisis negotiation team members, law enforcement personnel, mental health professionals, school administrators, and other first responders with the skills necessary to manage and resolve critical incidents involving barricaded subjects, hostage situations, and individuals experiencing mental health crises. The curriculum draws from established negotiation principles, real-world professional experience, and the expertise of seasoned instructors to create a practical and evidence-based learning experience.

Participants will engage with a variety of instructional methods including interactive presentations, collaborative discussions, hands-on practice exercises, and realistic role-playing scenarios. These varied approaches help attendees develop a thorough understanding of effective negotiation techniques while also preparing them to perform specialized roles within a comprehensive crisis response team structure.
