Domestic Violence Investigations
This specialized training course delivers an intensive examination of contemporary best practices for handling domestic violence cases, with emphasis on supporting victims from the initial emergency response through the prosecution phase. Through interactive classroom sessions and collaborative group activities, law enforcement professionals will develop advanced investigation techniques specific to domestic violence offenses, including cases involving strangulation, and gain proficiency in administering the Ontario Domestic Assault Risk Assessment (ODARA) tool. The course incorporates real-world case studies and practical exercises focused on policy development to strengthen organizational investigative procedures.
