This hybrid event brings together accreditation professionals from Maine and beyond for a collaborative stakeholder meeting. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Maine Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (MLEAP).

Event Overview:

The Maine Chiefs of Police Association (MCOPA) and MLEAP invite assessors, program directors, agency administrators, law enforcement leaders, and accreditation professionals to participate in this focused discussion on program enhancement. The meeting welcomes representatives from state, regional, and national law enforcement accreditation programs and encourages participation from individuals interested in learning more about accreditation opportunities or considering roles as Program Managers or Assessors.

Meeting Agenda Includes:

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Overview of potential updates to the MLEAP Standards Manual
  • Feedback session on the MLEAP program
  • Accreditation program networking and best practices discussion
  • Professional development opportunities and information about Program Manager and Assessor roles
  • Open forum for questions, ideas, and suggestions
  • Closing remarks
