Intended Audience
This course is designed for sworn law enforcement officers representing all operational areas, including patrol, corrections, federal, court, state, wildlife, and ranger agencies. The program serves officers responsible for conducting on-the-job field training with new recruits, as well as first-line supervisors such as sergeants and corporals who oversee FTOs and trainees. Additional target audiences include watch commanders, patrol managers seeking enhanced understanding of FTO processes, agency training coordinators, and FTO program managers or Field Training Officers who have not yet completed a foundational FTO course or whose training was completed more than five years ago.
Enrollment is restricted to sworn and non-sworn law enforcement personnel only.
