Course Overview
This course targets Patrol Officers, Detectives, and First Line Supervisors seeking a thorough grounding in criminal procedure from initial contact through conviction. The program delivers a comprehensive, in-depth review of foundational criminal procedure concepts, contemporary case law, and their implications under the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, as well as Articles 12 and 14 of the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights. Additionally, the course covers recent case law developments and common legal defenses. A Criminal Procedure Guide (valued at $99) is provided in hardcopy to all attendees.
